Why We Built This Site
Connecticut does not operate a Fairfield County courthouse or county clerk system in the way many states do. Fairfield residents often need the Connecticut Judicial Branch for Superior Court cases, GA 2 at Bridgeport for many criminal and motor vehicle matters, the Bridgeport/Fairfield Judicial District for civil, family, and major criminal matters, Fairfield Probate Court for estates and trusts, and the Fairfield Town Clerk for vital records, marriage licenses, land records, and town records. The goal is to make those official paths easier to sort.
What You Will Find Here

- Public records help: Fairfield municipal FOIA context, Connecticut public-record limits, and record-holder distinctions
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It is not part of the Town of Fairfield, Connecticut Judicial Branch, Fairfield Probate Court, DOC, DMV, DESPP, any police agency, or any federal court. There are real limits to what a private reference site can do:
- We cannot file court papers, probate filings, FOIA requests, or vital-record applications for anyone
- We cannot issue certified court copies, marriage certificates, divorce decrees, warrants, or inmate records
- We cannot give legal advice or interpret a specific Fairfield case for a visitor
- We cannot guarantee that every official fee, phone number, office hour, or portal notice is current at the moment it is read
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies run their own services, set their own prices, and control their own results. If a visitor uses one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, this site may earn a referral fee. Official Fairfield and Connecticut records should always be verified with the government office that holds the record.
